Raw (ungraded) Pokemon cards on TT Poke are assessed on a 5-tier condition scale: A, A-, B, C, and D. Our scale is adapted from the cardrush-pokemon.jp condition guideline, a de facto standard among Japanese Pokemon card shops, with wording and thresholds adjusted for clarity and transparency.

Pack-fresh appearance. No scratches, whitening, dents, or print defects visible to the naked eye. Corners are sharp and the surface is glossy. Minimal off-centering acceptable. The closest a raw card gets to "pulled today" condition.
Very light play wear. Faint edge whitening, a single hairline scratch, or a minor print line may be visible only on close inspection under strong lighting. No creases, no corner damage, no whitening across multiple edges.
Noticeable but not severe wear. Light whitening on one or two edges/corners, minor surface scratches, or small amounts of haze. No creases or bends. Still presents well in a binder or top-loader.
Clearly used. Whitening on multiple edges and corners, visible surface scratches, possibly minor corner dents or slight dirt. Structurally intact; no creases that pierce the surface.
Significant wear. May include creases, bends, ink damage, heavy whitening, staining, or other obvious defects. Sold as-is, priced for collectors who accept the condition as part of the card's history.

Condition grading is inherently subjective. Two experienced graders may disagree by one tier on borderline cards. Every listing includes actual photos of the card — when in doubt, the photo is authoritative, not the letter grade.
Raw cards are not professionally graded. If the card is later submitted to PSA, BGS, or CGC, the professional grade may differ from our internal assessment. Our condition rating reflects visual inspection only, not a prediction of any professional grade.
